  Besides this terrible welcome gesture, the place looks awful (like a jail ;), although the nice look from the outside. Take any psitive feedback to this place with caution, ask to see the bed first, and you will surely thank me.

  A woman came and started yelling at me for not putting sheets on the beds. She yelled do it 'now! now!' and seemed like she's going to murder me.

  Stayed here yesterday and they where realy nice and so helpful. They let me leave my bag at the hostel while I take a rest day in the city. They are also going to let me stay an second night too €6 very good value and there is a donation breakfast in the morning. Place was clean and warm very basic but had a great nite sleep:)

  I've arrived at 12:00, while my friend was on his way from Madrid and was suppsed to arrive later. The woman at the reception said I can't reserve a place for him, but there will probably be an available bed when he arrives. So I've 'marked' two beds with stuff (clothes, hat, etc).

  Stayed in León an extra day to rest and check out the city. The first day certain workers were pushy and the second day these same workers were saying mean things that made one of my friends cry. They thought we didn't speak Spanish..... needless to say I'm salty. I'm pretty hardcore so I can sleep on pretty much anything except for the beds in this albergue. Not all was bad for other workers in the albergue were awesome and very nice. I feel as though there might be a power struggle between the awesome workers and the mean people. I feel as though we should focus our efforts on impeaching the mean people out of power. #notmypresident because I'm from Canada. Yeah

  I'm terribly disappointed with this Albergue. I was hiking with my family of 8 since St. Jean on the camino and after a 40k hike that day we finally made it here. We were greeted rudely and berated in Spanish by two of the workers thinking we didn't understand or hear them. Besides the location and cheap price it lacked any other positives. The beds have no ladders and are difficult for even the younger/taller pilgrims to climb onto. (The bottom bunks are "reserved" for older visitors because of this exact reason but were generally open) Nor were there sheets but that's not uncommon on the camino. Unless you are out of other options (Albergue San Francisco is a good clean substitute nearby) please look into another place to stay, cheers.
